- From may, 19th 2010, we walked the way of St James. We began in Le-Puy-en-Velay in France, and finished in Santiago de Compostela july 22th, 65 days later.
On this Wednesday morning we left the campsite of Le Puy-en-Velay, it was the long awaited day. We dreamed of for over 15 years. However, no euphoria, no stress, no joy. The top of the staircase of the cathedral, the upper town of Puy-en-Velay was gorgeous and the sun was at the rendezvous. We descended the stairs, crossed the Place du Plot and set off. We did not at Roncesvalles in the Pyrenees or the camino in Spain or the 1540 kilomètrres that separated us from Santiago. We were neither confident nor worried but just …
we thought about the hiking of that day.
- At each step of this long hike, we were always very humble about our chances of walking all the way to Santiago.
May be ! if we are able….
